Kitchens and Baths by Design has been creating custom kitchens and bathrooms for discerning Alaskans since 1994.  Owner, Carolyn M. Foelsch, became a member of the Interior Alaska Building Association (IABA) in January 1995 and recently won the 2013 Associate of the Year Award. Over the years she has earned her CAPS, CKD and CBD (see below) designations through the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) and the National Kitchen and Bath Association (NKBA). 

 

Carolyn is a Certified Landscape Designer and a Certified Master Gardener. She recently combined her love of plants and design by expanding her creative focus to include Outdoor Kitchen Design. Included in the planning process is an emphasis on creating beautiful and usable Kitchen Gardens to compliment the outdoor living space.

Carolyn serves as the local IABA's Associate Vice President and chairs a number of their committees, including Fairbanks' favorite home showcase "The Parade of Homes".  For the Alaska State Home Building Association (ASHBA), in 2004, she was elected to the Board of Directors and continues to serve as the ASHBA Associate Vice President.
